A meaningful meal for
the Descendants of
independence activists
"Flavor of Daejeon", held in honor of
the Descendants of independence activists, was a deeply meaningful event
that expressed gratitude and respect
through a single meal.
The dining experience began with
temple cuisine master VEN. BEOPSONG’s Deodeok Baetang, Five-grain rice bites,
and Five-colored Namul.
Chefs active on both domestic and international stages then presented thoughtfully crafted dishes
made with locally grown ingredients
from Chungcheongnam-do.
Chefs Yoon-Geun Eo, Carlos Shin,
and Sung-woon Kim—each with their own distinct philosophy—participated through talent donation, conveying a message
of remembrance and appreciation.
More than just a culinary event,
the Flavor of Daejeon served as
a heartfelt reminder of a shared promise—"We will not forget"—and a renewed commitment to continued support
and solidarity with the descendants.
